چکیده
Abstract. Purpose. The work’s aim is to check the stability loss hypothesis with snap-through effect of ribbed-annular dome's upper tier on a full-scale model by experimental tests, and confirming nonlinear tier's work under external load. Methodology. ribbed-ring dome circumscribe in plan as circle diameter 18 m rise ratio span - 1/4, which consisted 8 ribs had 6 tiers height, was taken an dome-model analog. The bounded lower ring, ring for below, support ring.Tier rings are made steel closed bent welded profiles rectangular cross section. As model, it decided use von-Mises truss popular two-rod inclined systems' theoretical studies, allows modeling these systems behavior. classic using behavior associated number problems.First, three-dimensional system eight rods, so equivalent low-pitched truss, 1/4 tier.Secondly, has limited rigidity can be deformed, while fixed supports, why add elastic horizontal supports model.Horizontal were performed pair puffs simulated deformations. Stability of Annular Flow and Slugging
In this work we propose an effective viscosity criterion for the stabilization of annular gas-liquid and liquid-particle flows and an inertial mechanism which drives waves into slugs in slugging gas-liquid flows. Annular flow is stable when the fluid having the higher effective viscosity occupies the core region and the lower viscosity fluid is the annulus. The eddy viscosity criterion is shown...
متن کاملNumerical computations of a theoretical model of ribbed moraine formation
We develop numerical solutions of a theoretical model which has been proposed to explain the formation of subglacial bedforms. The model has been shown to have the capability of producing bedforms in two dimensions, when they may be interpreted as ribbed moraine. However, these investigations have left unanswered the question of whether the theory is capable of producing fully three‐dimensional...
متن کاملThe Simplest Parkour Model: Experimental Validation and Stability Analysis
We describe and experimentally validate the Simplest Parkour Model (SPM) for the ParkourBot, a planar dynamic climbing robot equipped with two springy BowLegs. By controlling the leg angles and injected energy at impact, the ParkourBot is capable of climbing up and down in a rigid chute on an inclined air table. The SPM consists of a point mass and two massless legs. The legs are assumed to be ...
